“A Taste of the Gastrominoen, Elsinore” starts at Helsingoer Nordhavn near Kronborg Castle in Elsinore at 9 o’clock. You will get your bikes and maps, while our staff will explain you the program of the day.

Your first stop is just a few meters from the Starting point. At Mille and Peter, who own Strandristeriet you will enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee before venturing of on adventure.

On your trip along Strandvejen, you pass the cozy little harbors at Snekkersten, Espergærde and Sletten Havn. The program before noon is not that tight, so there will be time to visit the beautiful garden of Louisiana a visit or to take a dip in Øresund.

You will enjoy lunch in beautiful surroundings of agriculture and forest at Årstidernes farm, Krogerup Alvsgård, just outside Humlebæk. From here it is just a short bike ride to Mats Vinyard. Matthew will make you wiser on making wine, and you will also get to taste wine here. It is said that wine and cheese is a great combination, so after learning about wine, you will learn a little about cheese. Brian runs the charming Humlebæk Mikro Dairy, where he makes delicious cheese. It is easy to spot Brians place, as it is simply shaped like a cheese. Brian talks passionately about the creation of the cheeses and you will of course taste some of his cheeses.

Leaving Humlebæk behind you, continue to Esrum sø and Sørup Is on the edge of the Lake. Enjoy a cup of coffee here and make your way to Fredensborg Castle. A walk in the park at Fredensborg Castle is highly recommended as it is just incredibly beautiful.

From one castle to the next… The part of the tour from Esrum Sø and Fredensborg Castle you bike along fields, meadows and forest to Gurrehus Castle and Ørsholt Estate. At Ørsholt Estate, the famous and worldrenowed Peter Beier Chokolade Is located. At their shop next to the castle, you can purchase the delicious chocolates.

From here, the trip returns to Elsinore. The last stretch of the tour is really super pretty. As you cycle on the ridge, you will have a fantastic view of Oeresund, as well as Kronborg and Elsinore.

The tour ends at the same place as it started in Elsinore, where you hand over the bikes. Maybe you want to linger in Elsinore and enjoy the beautiful city or take a closer look at Kronborg?
